First Half

Keighley entered into uncharted waters on Sunday when they entered the FA Cup for the first time. Paired against Premier League outfit Morley Spurs who entered the game with a 100% record, there were more than a few nervous before the match. With several players missing a re-gigged Keighley team took the pitch and attacked Morley from the off.

Having put Morley under severe pressure Keighley got there rewards on 14 mins when a Michelle Harrison corner was met by Suzanne Hill whos bullet header was flicked in by Maria McKardle.

GOAL

This seem give Keighley even more confidence and they kept attacking and on 20 minutes had a golden chance to double the lead when Becky Grainger was tripped in the area, the usually reliable Michelle Harrison however skied the resulting spot kick, Had Keighley scored Morley they could not have complained at the score line.

However Morley began to get in to the game after that but a combination of solid defending and good goalkeeping resulted in very limited opportunities for Morley.

Second Half

The second half started the same as the first with Keighley attacking Morley and had several chances of extending the lead however they couldn't get the vital second, Morley started to come in the at Keighley and started to use there experience, the resiliant Keighley defence was finally breached on 69 minutes when a quick Morley free-kick caught Keighley unaware  and a shot from the edge of the area flow in to the net.

GOAL

Just 1 minute later Morley gained the the lead when a cross wasn't dealt with and the Morley striker was left with a simply tap shot.

GOAL

On 80 minutes things got worse for Keighley when influential captain Michelle Harrison was carried of with a broken bone in foot.

A major re-shuffle didn't seem to effect Keighley who started to put pressure on Morley and on 89 mintes got there rewards, a push in the area on Maria McKardle lead to the award of a second penalty, there was no mistake this time when Fatima Khatun stepped up and cooly slotted the ball into the corner, it was nothing more than Keighley deserved.

Full Time Score 2 - 2

First Half Extra Time

Keighley were buoyed by there performance and started extra-time with in a positive mind and attacked Morley again with a 100 minutes on the clock Keighley took the lead when Maria McKardle again broke free and burst onto a Becky Grainger threw ball, rounded the advancing Morley keeper and slotted home.

GOAL

However Morley fitness started to show against a  just 3 minutes later were on level terms when a rocket of a shoot flow past Gaines in goal giving the keeeper no chance.

GOAL

Half Time Extra Time 2 - 2

With Keighley tiring, Morley started to put them under real pressure and with some great last ditch tackling penalties were looming with just 4 minutes left Morley struck the decisive blow when the another unstoppable shot flew past an unlucky Gaines who did well to get a hand too but the power took the ball into the top corner.

GOAL

With so little time left Keighley threw everything forward and were caught again in the last minute when a break away left Morley with the simplest of finishes to seal there passage into the next round.
